The price of gasoline is rising on a daily basis making us think twice about getting into our cars and going for a drive. Milk and eggs and bread are hitting our pocketbook harder with food taking a bigger chunk out of our budget. We want something different, some alternative way to go. Many people are grabbing for the concept of change, reaching for that change idea even if it is change without a plan.
     Life seems to be on a roller coaster ride and we want to get off and set our feet down on even ground. There is only one way to be on a level plain and that is with God as part of your life. The cost of knowing God will never increase and we can always ride along life’s path with God without the worry of a gasoline bill.  The food of Christ’s presence with us only costs the time we spend with Jesus and the increased time with Christ will feed our searching souls.
     But, the best part of spending time with Jesus and getting to know God is that God never changes. God is always the same: filled with grace and love, overflowing with compassion and caring. God does not have to change because God is the wonderful constant of our lives that will keep us on an even keel.
