War Dog Postage Stamp Needed!
Since World War I, dogs have saved the lives of thousands of soldiers. Throughout the wars, dogs, as part of the K-9 Corps, have worked as sentries, messengers, scouts, and first-aid assistance in all branches of the Armed Services. Several have been decorated with our country’s highest honor for bravery. An appeal is being made to the US Postal Service Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee to get a stamp approved by the US Postal Service to honor these outstanding dogs.
